Hornet sauce

This week we mixed up some hornet bait and hung bottles of it around to catch them. We'll see what they get. The recipe is:

1 cup sugar

1 cup water

1 cup apple cider vinegar

Mix

Chopped apple bits or banana peels (small amount) can be added optionally. Banana is thought to keep honeybees out of this.

Cut 1" hole in sloping neck of plastic bottle.

Fill bottle 2 - 3" deep.

Put cap on bottle

Hang bottles.
